The former US president is doing art. He paints his dogs and famous world leaders he met during his presidency. One could simply call it clumsy or ragged (or as his brother Jeb puts it: “I’d like to wait till we get to the post-modern era of this […]”), but actually in his works there is a kind of relation with the subject shining through his not-highly-professional painting skills. There is something beyond the painting. As I am running a collaborative off-space for art I invited him for a single show. And I got a response.
